What is the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support the Development of the Next Generation?

This law was enacted in July 2003 as part of measures to combat the declining birthrate. It was created to clarify the responsibilities of the national government, local governments, employers, and citizens in creating an environment in which children who will lead the next generation can be born and raised healthily, and to ensure that these efforts are undertaken in a concentrated and planned manner.

What is the Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace?

This law was enacted in August 2015 with the aim of creating a society in which all women who wish to work can fully demonstrate their individuality and abilities, and it calls for reforms from the national and local governments, as well as general employers, and its purpose was to make it easier for women to work and develop long-term careers.
